Pangea Life was first established in 2015 by its founder, Stephen Goulter. Being in the industry since 2010 Stephen noticed there seemed to be a lack of high quality, specialist Business Protection advice.

The company's journey started as Portmore Life working alongside Portmore Insurance, one of the Souths largest independent commercial brokers. Then, nearly three years on from its inception, in September 2018, Pangea Life separated from Portmore Insurance and ventured off alone, re-branding and relocating.

What makes us different? Unlike most other financial advisors we have narrowed our focus specifically to life insurances and employee benefits. This niche approach led us to work closely with accountants, solicitors, banks, corporate finance advisors and other trusted professionals to provide their clients with protection solutions within their wider planning objectives. 
We noticed that there was a severe lack of knowledge of the industry and a blind spot to most business owners. We all know life insurance can protect a mortgage, so why can’t it protect a business. We’ve spent the last 7 years educating business owners and the professional industry...and we're not done yet.

We work with all of the major insurers in the UK allowing us to give independent and impartial advice ensuring clients have access to the widest possible range of products available.

In more recent times, Pangea Life has seen the development of it’s sister company Pangea Insurance Brokers. Two separate businesses, but with a shared goal to provide expert advice regarding all thing’s insurance. This allows for our  clients to have all insurances under one roof and the reassurance of expert advice.
